If you had 2000 $ (1500 €) to spend on a compact camera, what would be your choice ?
Not many I suppose, but here is one and it's worth to look at !

The Stellar has a 20.2 megapixels small sensor 13.2 x 8.8 mm and an excellent Carl Zeiss lens, more specs here:

The aesthetic is attractive and elegant (following the Leica -Contax look) but if you don't really care about the design you can get exactly the same mechanics and optics in the simpler package of the Sony RX-100 with a fraction of the price.
No mention if this compact Hassy is made in Sweden, so I presume it's manufactured in one of Sony's factories either in Japan or China.

Yes and No. In todays global business, all exclusive brands, such as Leica, Mercedes or others, expand their range to "light" products, that are less expensive. The idea is to be competitive with public brands in the medium category.

The Hasselblad Stellar is a very nice and desirable compact camera with fair techniques. But if i would spend 2000 $ for it, i am in doubt. For only 8000 $ more, you can get a Leica M ...... ;)
